LK601 Chain Cast On

This cast on method makes the starting end of the piece look very similar to the flat bound off end of the piece, which makes it ideal for edges that remain visible.

Make a slip knot and put it on the first peg.
Lay the working yarn around the outside of the loom.
Place the crochet hook between the first and second peg and pull the yarn towards the inside of the loom.
Move to hook including the yarn from the inside towards the next peg
Pull the working yarn through the loop on the crochet hook, continue with each peg.
At the end, put the loop that is on the crochet hook onto the last peg.

There are various methods for the chain cast on such as the Crochet Cast On and Cable Cast On which I might explain in later tutorials, but I found this one to be the easiest of them all, and just as pretty!
